The ECCC Space Optimization project was an extensive upgrade to the existing tenant spaces occupied by Environment and Climate Change Canada in the Douglas Jung Building. Action Electric was procured to be the electrical subcontractor for this multi-floored, multi-phased million-dollar project. Numerous site surveys were provided for the client throughout the project to help give a clear scope of electrical work required for directed additional scope. While working around other sub-trades, we worked collaboratively for the good of the project to ensure the client’s goals were met.
Action Electric was also responsible for procuring other subcontractors (Data/Communications & Sound Masking) to provide a one stop shop for the Prime General Contractor. Coordination of all facets of the project was done seamlessly, and the project was completed on time even with a stringent schedule.
Project Location: 401 Burrard St, Vancouver
Project Duration: 1.5 years
Cost Scope: $1.6M
Project Size: 11,366 sq. ft
This was a multi level multi phased Tenant Improvement project which was inherently complex in nature. High security called for an extra high level of service, which Action Electric executed professionally and seamlessly. The team was responsible, very effective communicators, kept the project moving forward smoothly, and finished on time given the stringent schedule.
Along with the electrical portion of this project, they also took care of all the Fire Alarm, Sound Masking and parts of the Data Communications work as well. Action Electric’s proactive response in resolving unexpected problems, was most welcomed by our client, showing their commitment in providing the best service they can. It has been a pleasure working with the Action Electric and without hesitation, I would recommend this company to any of our future clients.
